Do I need artwork before requesting a quote?
No. Start with a written idea, keyboard reference, desk photo, colour direction, or budget. Artwork can be added later if needed.
What should I include in the first enquiry?
Your preferred layout or keyboard model, budget range, colours, intended use, location, and any deadline. Up to three optional JPG, PNG, or WebP images can be attached, with a maximum of 3 MB each.
What layouts can you plan?
Common 60%, 65%, 75%, TKL, and full-size projects can be reviewed. Less common or split layouts depend on the exact board and available key sizes, so include the model or layout diagram.
Artwork, preview, and proof
Can you use my photo, pet portrait, logo, or illustration?
Yes, if you own it or have permission to use it. Send the clearest original file available. We review crop, resolution, contrast, and production suitability before quoting.
Is the 3D designer a factory-ready proof?
No. It is a visual planning tool. We still review key sizes, layout, image quality, colour direction, production method, and any supplier proof before production.
Will the final colour exactly match my screen?
Not always. Screens, lighting, material, texture, coating, and print process affect colour. Any controlled colour requirement or sample option should be agreed before production.
Can one image cover the whole keyboard?
It can be planned as a full-board concept, but the image is divided across separate key surfaces and gaps. A strong focal point, safe crop, and enough resolution are important. We refine the layout before production.
Parts and services
Can you source and assemble third-party parts?
Yes, a quote can include compatible third-party parts, assembly, and tuning. Availability, source, specifications, and any substitutions are confirmed before the order proceeds.
Can I provide my own keyboard or parts?
Yes, subject to compatibility and condition. Tell us about known faults, modifications, missing parts, or previous repairs before work begins.
Can you help with switches, sound, and desk setup matching?
Yes. Describe the sound, typing feel, colours, desk size, and budget. Recommendations are confirmed as part of the written scope rather than treated as guaranteed results from a photo alone.
Payment, changes, and support
When do I pay?
No payment is taken with the enquiry. Scope, parts, proof, timing, price, and the required deposit or payment stage are confirmed in writing first.
Can I change or cancel a custom order?
Contact us immediately. Options depend on whether design work, sourcing, or production has started and which costs have already been incurred. This does not remove rights for a fault or other failure covered by Australian Consumer Law.
What happens if there is a fault?
Contact ForgeKeys AU with the order reference and clear details. The remedy depends on the problem and may include repair, replacement, refund, re-performance, or another remedy under Australian Consumer Law.
Are uploaded customer files public?
No. Original files are attached to a restricted quote record and are not used publicly without separate permission. See the Privacy Policy for access, correction, and deletion requests.
